About Us

Cherry Valley Stove & Saw was founded by Jim and Lyn VanTil in 2008. They have always lived ‘close to the earth’ and enjoyed raising animals, tending to the garden, homeschooling their children and heating with wood. Retailing quality hearth and power equipment was a natural extension of their love for nature and God. They grew the business and added product lines with the philosophy of only carrying quality products that they believed in.

Fast forward to 2016, Jim and Lyn felt retirement calling. With over 20 grandchildren, a garden, an orchard and miles of traveling to be done they listed their baby for sale.

Adam Swann had been a customer of the store for many years and since his first visit, decided if the business ever came for sale he would carry on the establishment that Jim and Lyn had started. In February 2017, the sale was completed. Adam’s goal is to carry on the legacy that the VanTil’s began by continuing to offer quality products that we use and believe in and adding unexpected value through education of our customers.

In November 2024, Adam rebranded the business from Cherry Valley Stove & Saw to Cherry Valley Stove & Fireplace, a name that more accurately reflects the company’s evolving focus and expanded range of services. This change underscores their commitment to providing top-tier stove, fireplace, and chimney solutions while better aligning with the needs of their customers.
